I didn't know what to expect from the Destination Stations exhibit at the National Railways Museum but what I found completely blew me away.

The exhibit presents the architectural gems hidden amongst the railway stations of the United Kingdom. Mostly presented from architectural models the exhibit gives a real insight into the technology and innovation of the steam age.

The models are beautifully presented and well lit, what is really shown here is the importance of lighting in the presentation of models. With the right lighting, the stark shadows cast within the interior spaces illuminate them well and also draw the eye of the visitor to the elements you want them to see.
